This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) keeps FasterHost fast, safe and reliable for everyone. It describes activities that are prohibited on our network and services.
1. Purpose
This AUP applies to all FasterHost customers and users. Violations may result in warnings, content removal, suspension or termination, depending on severity. We aim to be fair and to give notice where practical.
2. Prohibited content
You may not use our services to host or transmit content that is illegal, that infringes intellectual property, that exploits or endangers minors, that is defamatory, or that violates the privacy or rights of others.
3. Prohibited activities
- Sending spam or unsolicited bulk email.
- Distributing malware, viruses, or phishing content.
- Launching or participating in denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks.
- Unauthorised scanning, probing or penetration of networks or systems.
- Operating open mail relays or proxies for abuse.
- Cryptocurrency mining that degrades shared resources.
4. Fair resource usage
Shared and reseller plans operate under fair-use limits so that no single account degrades performance for others. Accounts that consistently exceed reasonable CPU, memory or I/O thresholds may be asked to optimise or upgrade to a VPS, VDS or cloud plan.
5. Security responsibilities
You are responsible for keeping your applications, plugins and credentials secure and up to date. Compromised accounts used to attack others or send spam may be suspended to protect the network, and restored once secured.
6. Email & anti-spam
Bulk or marketing email must comply with anti-spam laws (such as CAN-SPAM and GDPR), include valid unsubscribe mechanisms, and only be sent to recipients who have consented. Sending limits apply to protect deliverability for all customers.
7. Reporting abuse
To report a violation, spam, phishing or other abuse involving our network, email abuse@fasterhost.in with as much detail as possible. We investigate all reports promptly.
8. Enforcement
We reserve the right to remove content, throttle, suspend or terminate accounts that violate this AUP, and to cooperate with law enforcement where required. Serious violations may result in immediate action without prior notice.
9. Changes
We may update this AUP to address new threats or requirements. The "last updated" date reflects the latest revision, and continued use constitutes acceptance.
